The Rose Academy of Irish Dance
As anyone who has seen Irish Dance before knows, Irish Dance involves intricate footwork, fascinating rhythms, and music that comes from the heart. But to a dancer, there is so much more.
Competitions and performances encourage dancers to present their skills in many different types of situations. Irish Dancers build self-esteem and self-confidence through mastering new skills, and performing in front of audiences. The competitive aspect of Irish Dance teaches the art of good sportsmanship. Solo dancing encourages dancers to challenge themselves, while figure dancing encourages teamwork. The Irish Dance community fosters a family spirit, in which many life long friendships have and will continue to be formed. And, of course, Irish Dance gives all ages and levels a great aerobic workout!
